Astros fans rejoice. Houston baseball legend Craig Biggio announced yesterday that his sports bar Biggio’s is set to open across from Minute Maid Park this November. The two-level restaurant will be a part of the new Marriott Marquis hotel and convention district downtown.

Biggio’s menu is fit for foodies as well as sports fans. The upscale sports bar plans on offering high quality steaks, burgers, and wings as well as local craft beers, wines, and cocktails. Diners can watch all the big games from wall-to-wall TVs alongside Astros memorabilia. Biggio has said he expects to be at the restaurant as often as possible. The Hall of Famer second baseman spent his entire baseball career with the Astros and still resides in Houston. He currently acts as a special assistant to the Astros GM.

The restaurant is one of six concepts that will be a part of the Marquis. The hotel is set to make quite a mark on downtown’s culture and cuisine. Last year, the Marquis released renderings of their planned rooftop Texas-shaped lazy river that had all of Houston excited. The 1000-room hotel will connect to the George R. Brown Convention Center and feature a 39,000 square foot ballroom once construction is complete this fall.
