Try camping and stargazing in your own backyard. Explore the night’s sky live with Space Center Houston using items you have from home. While this program is usually a paid experience, Space Center Houston has created this program to be more budget and family friendly at this time with their “pay what you can” option. If you want to explore space with Space Center Houston, make sure to register at least 24 hours prior to the start of the event.

Visit a Museum

Check out some awesome exhibits and learn some new facts! With the opening Houston’s Museum of Natural Science back in mid-May, it is expected that other museums will follow suit and open their doors throughout the month of June. Continue to check out the Museum District’s website for updates on some of your favorite locations and make sure to practice the safety precautions laid out on their website before visiting the museum.

The Rooftop Cinema Club has debuted their newest summer family fun outing: Drive-in Cinema at Sawyer Yards. Watch your favorite classics all summer under the stars right from inside your car. They are playing two movies a night, so if you’re feeling adventurous, you could do a double feature! They offer all your favorite movie snacks for purchase as well as some to-go hot meal options from Buffalo Bayou Brewery.
