What began years ago as a passion for home brewing between brothers Brent and Chad Daniel has become B-52 Brewing Co. The Conroe-based craft brewery opened in spring 2014.
The duo have been homebrewers since 2006, but their brews kept getting rave reviews—even from a local brewmaster. That sort of feedback enticed them to pursue the hobby as a business. They acquired land in Conroe, ordered brewing equipment and began designing a building around the concept of an airplane hangar. Today, the brewery incorporates a brewhouse where everything is made and a taphouse, a place to enjoy the fruits of labor with picnic tables and other amenities.
The brewery name was the result of a serendipitous trip to Costa Rica and a discussion about old planes. B-52 was a bold, undoubtedly American name—exactly what the brothers were looking for.
B-52 offers regular events and tours each Saturday afternoon.
