Situated three miles outside of the southwest end of the Inner Loop—on 70 acres at the corner of Hillcroft and Bissonnet—Bayland Park remains a popular outdoor destination for visitors of all ages and abilities.
The multi-use park makes room for different sports as it features fields for baseball, softball, football and soccer, as well as a tennis court, jogging trail, community center and a pavilion. Bayland Park is also equipped with a running track for the visually impaired. There are restrooms and picnic tables spread throughout the park, along with two playgrounds.
Catch local athletic events on Saturday, when the fields are frequently occupied by area teams. For anyone who enjoys sports or people watching, snag one of the many picnic tables around the park to have a barbeque and a friendly game of just about anything.
