Jamil Musa and Lutfi Rukab, the talent behind the city’s Brookstreet BBQ, brought the Montrose area an outpost highlighting their Texas-style fare in June 2016.
Settling into a 1,000-square-foot space on Montrose Boulevard, the restaurant offers limited seating, offset by an outdoor patio and a drive-through option catering to customers on the go. Guests unfamiliar with the company’s other locations will find plenty of Texas staples highlighted on the menu ranging from beef brisket and jalapeno sausage to pulled pork and ribs. The company has tapped Slow Dough to provide challah buns for the restaurant’s sandwiches. Fans can pair their selection with classic sides like potato salad, coleslaw and beans.
