After decades serving socialites and well-heeled clientele at his Café Annie, Chef Robert del Grande evolved to tried and true tradition in 2018.
The James Beard Award-winning chef recreated Café Annie again in its 1800 Post Oak space in the Uptown neighborhood. In his two-story spot, del Grande opts for a more casual, club-like atmosphere. The first floor hosts a boutique enclave called The Prime Room with a standalone menu of oysters, prime rib, smoked salmon, shrimp cocktail and more with a decidedly Southwest approach. On the second floor, Bar Annie's bar menu remains a wildly successful concept imported from the original Café Annie. There’s also a private dining area, Annie Hall, for up to 100 guests and a continuation of its traditional sit-down dining space.
Expect a menu loaded with a mix of newly developed dishes, revamped culinary creations, as well as favorites like the rabbit enchilada and the crab meat tostada.
