After five years helping drive the cuisine at Houston’s Liberty Kitchen and Little Liberty, Chef Travis Lenig set out on his own in 2017 with Field & Tides. Set in The Heights’ former Zelko Bistro space, the restaurant promises locally sourced American fare with a focus on Gulf Coast seafood and local products.
Inside, the vibe is polished with a contemporary lodge aesthetic—a dramatic antler chandelier hangs overhead, a birch log installation wraps around the bar and shiplap finishes out the ceiling. Settle in at one of the inside tables or grab a seat on the patio and enjoy fresh catch selections like oysters, crab soup, pan-seared scallops and pecan crusted flounder. Or, step over to its lounge space, The Lounge at Field & Tides, for additional dining, drinking and private events.
Field and Tides is open for lunch and dinner, daily, as well as weekend brunch.
