Downtown denizens have frequented the Irish bar at 509 Main Street for more than a decade, back when it was Slainte and the Ruby Room and now that it’s known as Molly’s Pub.
The two-story venue, originally designed by the Irish Pub Company of Dublin, features a handcrafted wood bar (imported from the motherland), old Guinness signs and other authentic relics. Inside, pool tables and darts add to Molly’s allure, as does a solid mix of draught beers and Irish whiskeys. Pair a pint with a basket of wings, sandwich or other pub grub offered on the bar’s menu.
For a bird’s eye view, head upstairs to the second floor, where the wrought-iron balcony provides a perfect perch for people watching along Main Street. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
