Pluckers, the Austin-native sports bar and restaurant famous for their wings, recently flew to Houston, nesting in the Heights area at 1400 Shepherd. The tasty wing bar was created by a couple of University of Texas students in their dorm room. The first store front opened its in 1995 and has since spread to 6 cities in both Texas and Louisiana. Now, Pluckers is voted Top 10 Wing Bar by USA Today and Top 5 Sports Bar by ESPN.
Pluckers is the place to come to find spicy, crazy-hot buffalo wings and an ice cold beer while soaking in more sports than thought possible.
The menu features chicken wings served with the option 16 sauces, including Dr. Pepper, Buffalo Hot. For those that love a good challenge, order and eat 25 of the crazy-hot “fire in the hole” wings and earn a coveted spot on the Wall of Flame. Sick of spicy? There are plenty of lip smacking options like teriyaki, lemon pepper and honey bbq.
Though wings are the specialty here, there are an assortment of options including burgers, sandwiches and salads. “Pregame” warm ups like fried pickles and macaroni and cheese are just a couple of fan favorites.
