The Edmont

Fans of Chef Grant Gordon have been wondering where the fresh-faced James Beard nominee would land after leaving his celebrated role at Tony’s and it seems the chef’s future continues to look bright. In August 2014, Gordon revealed that he is teaming up with restaurateur Paul Petronella and wine director David Keck on a Lower Westheimer project dubbed The Edmont.

Though the restaurant is more than a year off, a site has been selected—a plot between Dunlavy and Mandell—and the trio has tapped Houston-based Abel Design Group to head the ground-up design. On the menu, customers can expect a forward-thinking approach to American fare with French and Italian influences that Gordon is known for. Award-winning sommelier David Keck will oversee the wine list, building on his success at nearby Camerata, while Paul Petronella will head up operations.
