The Butcher's Grille (5740 San Felipe St., Houston, TX 77057) - Known for serving up premium halal dishes with care and craft, the family-owned restaurant hailing from Dearborn, Michigan, offers everything from lamb chops and chicken shawarma to falafel, house-made hummus, and fresh salads. With a tagline like “Eat the Butcher’s Way,” it’s clear that quality sourcing and bold flavor are at the heart of every plate. The Butcher’s Grille is booze-free but distinguishes itself by offering a meticulously developed mocktail program. Clutch City Cluckers (Medical Center, 9598 S Main St., Houston, TX 77025) - This food truck sits right in the shadow of NRG, and it’s hard to miss thanks to their logo of a chicken riding a rocket. They specialize in Nashville Hot Chicken that’s 100% halal and 100% aggressive on the spice. Their signature sandwich, the "Cluck It Like It’s Hot," lives up to the name — it’s a spice-dusted dare that’ll have you sweating through your jersey before the game even starts.

Abu Omar Halal (Medical Center, 7500 Almeda Rd., Houston, TX 77054) - What started as Houston’s first halal food truck is now an empire with locations across Texas, California, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Florida. Their brick-and-mortar spot near the Medical Center is the local HQ for authentic "Arabi-style" shawarma — think 100% halal chicken shaved thin, wrapped in toasted tortillas, and slathered in a signature garlic sauce that’s been winning over Houstonians since day one.
