Mother’s Day is coming up on May 9. How are you celebrating? Houston is filled with options to spend the day. Here are a few of our picks to help you plan.

Watch a Performance

If mom loves the performing arts, what better way to celebrate than by returning to Miller Outdoor Theatre? On Mother’s Day weekend (May 7 and 8), the Houston Ballet will perform live with the Houston Ballet Orchestra for the first time in over a year. Get your free tickets for the seated section online or pack up a picnic to enjoy Houston Ballet Reignited on the hill.

Over at Jones Hall, Mother’s Day weekend features the Houston Symphony’s Mozart + Piazzolla’s Four Seasons. Watch the performance live on May 7, 8 or 9 or live streamed (on May 8) if you prefer to watch from home.
