Over at Jones Hall, Mother’s Day weekend features the Houston Symphony’s Broadway Hits Go to Hollywood. Watch the performance live on May 5, 6 or 7.

Gift Her Something Local

Support local makers in Houston and treat mom to something special. The Heights Mercantile Market will also be going on Sunday, May 14, so you can just hop on over to find local food and goods for Mom from 11 am - 6 pm.

For moms with a sweet tooth, Dessert Gallery, a woman-owned and operated Houston bakery, has tasty sweet treats specially made for Mother’s Day. Treat your mom to hand-decorated cookies, petit fours or cupcakes in a jar.

Enjoy Afternoon Tea

Make her feel special by inviting her to afternoon tea. Hotel Granduca will be serving afternoon tea all week long! From 1:00 - 4:00, you and Mom can indulge in smoked salmon crepes, sandwiches, scones, sweets and tea in a beautiful atmosphere at this Uptown-area hotel. Another great option is Afternoon Tea at the St. Regis. From Friday to Sunday, head over to their lounge and enjoy tea and small bites accompanied by the sounds of a harpist.

Take Her Out to the Ballgame

If your mom is a Houston Astros fan, treat her to Minute Maid Park on Monday, May 15 where they’ll face the Cubs. To make it even more special, take her to brunch the Sunday of Mother's Day at the Original Ninfa’s on Navigation before the game.
